Mila opens her first Atelier
in Via San Pietro all’Orto, Milan.
The first show at Sala Bianca
at Pitti-Florence with the “Onda” collection.

first trip to the USA to receive
the “Oscar of Fashion”
from Neiman Marcus.
IN THE ‘60s
“Signora dello Stile” as she had
always been known, Mila in her Atelier
furnished with contemporary designer furniture
in Via Montenapoleone Milan.
At the Gran Galà organized
by Truman Capote
at Plaza Hotel in New York,
Lee Radziwill and Marella Agnelli wore
Mila’s dresses. The two ladies were
given first and third place on the
best-dressed list drawn up by WWD magazine.
The event which marked the life and work of Mila Schön
was the meeting with the photographer Ugo Mulas.

Charming Chevron, a fret pattern,
repeated several times.

September, the Brand founder Mila Schön pass away at the age of 91 years old.
The Japanese company Itochu Corporation, owners of the brand since 1992, after a settling-down period, takes the helm.
